I have seen many interesting blogger`s quitting to write, some thing after some time.... Reason..
- they find it lazy to update any information, ...
- some find it hard to find titles...
- what to update, is sometimes the reason too...
- nothing interesting to update is another reason...
I feel the reason is decrease in observation power... whatever blogs I have read till now (umpteen though), was the blogs are generally based on observations and thoughts about the observation or putting down the state of mind (may be writing a poetry sometimes)...
One more observations about the blog is, people tend to comment more on the blogs, who have female owners... now that is a bingo.. observation... just check, you too will find it as true...
Just that small observation I wanted to quote...
I usually tend to like the blog which have stories or updates on any recent activity.. feels good to know those...
The poems are written by me whereas other content are borrowed with credit and are personal views.

Managers
On my last visit (saturday morning) to HDFC bank, i saw the branch manager trying to assist people... I was struck by his down to earth attitude to handle people... In my previous visits i have seen some juniors of HDFC or i felt, contracted employees helping the customers...
I was keenly observing the way he was handling each and every customers standing or looking frustrated... I saw a man in a very furious mood, telling the manager that he didn't got his FD couriered and he has called the bank 10 times, to check this, but didn't got any more information from them... That man was in real mood, to bash anyone who asks him about his problem... Then i saw this manager approaching... i wanted to see how he handles him..
There are previous instances when i had seen this manager handle this calmly (but mostly he used to sit in his cabin and handle them)...
This manager calmly listened to him.. asked him his exact problem without too many questions... and approached the help desk to get a solution on it... Within minutes i could see the furious man turning into smiling person, with a satisfied look...
I came home and told my experience to my best friend... she told that... "haven't u seen the SBI branch manager too helping others?"... i thought, i am really impulsive of the good acts i see... she told "it is their duty to do so"... :(
i said ok :( ... because i thought this manager guy would bring in a change in the way managers handle things in banks by personally looking after some of the customers and getting first hand feedback rather than "in the cabin feedback"...
but if everyone does that, then i told myself, that they might have learned it in their B-schools... :)
Whatever...

Squidlian on "Who has the biggest brain:Facebook"
I searched for this word "Squidlian" on net could not get a meaning for it.
Anyways, that is the name I am assigned after scoring 2885 points on "who has the biggest brain". The reason to like this game is just because, in my entire life, I never won any game demonstrating physical or mental capability :(. [P.S. Game playing is related to intelligence as per Artificial Intelligence book, which I read during my academics. So, bad player is least intelligent person. :( that is me :) ]
Nevertheless, his game too looks into various aspects mental strength but there is classification on what is under test like, analytical skill, calculation skill, remembrance ability, visualization skill. I always found myself wanting for remembering facts, this got clearly demonstrated in this game.
So good game altogether.... :)
Below is the ranking for this game. Am just 15 points away from being 2990, bitbot.

4 years+ of experience in blogging
Wow!!!
I could not believe when i looked back and saw that it is more than 4+ years now, since I am writing. I will reiterate the reason for starting to write blogs.
Thanks to the on sight assignment and my boss (who irritated me a lot), that I had thoughts, but no one to share with. I thought of writing it to a place. Ended up writing a mail to self.
Later discovering to put it on blog. I have hidden a lot of material on the blog. But can't help it.
During these years, i have came from rediscovering myself through thoughts, poems and some technical stuff on the blog. The journey of my life is, I can say documented in the blog.
My friend asked me why I stopped writing poems... truely speaking, I don't get time to do so. Earlier there were those saturdays and sundays dedicated to it.. filled with thought and waiting to be penned down... Now the saturdays and sundays are occupied by mundane activities.. leaving no time to think...
Hope fully I will come back to self...

Defining Transistor
In of the pdf I was reading through, I found the best definition of "Transistor".
It is a curious structure composed from carefully chosen chemical substances with complex electrical properties that can only be understood by reference to the theory of quantum mechanics, where strange subatomic particles sometimes behave like waves and can only be described in terms of probabilities. Yet the gross behaviour of a transistor can be described, without reference to quantum mechanics, as a set of equations that relate the voltages on its terminals to the current that flows though it. These equations abstract the essential behavior of the device from its underlying physics.

--> While I was compiling above piece of code... I got following errors:
>> unresolved external symbol _main referenced in function _mainCRTStartup
I followed the literature on the net but solution were tangent to what I was expecting.
Then finally I started commenting out the code portions going from basic..
Solution: I was having main in my own namespace... "main" function should always be outside any local namespace.

Errors while committing files to CVS #cvs.history.lock
I get the following error while committing new file to cvs.
RCS file: /module_repo/dev/devdocs/studydocs/mydoc_HLD.doc,v
done
Checking in mydoc_HLD.doc;
/module_repo/dev/devdocs/studydocs/mydoc_HLD.doc.doc,v <-- mydoc_HLD.doc
initial revision: 1.1
done
cvs commit: failed to create lock directory for `/module/CVSROOT' (/module_repo/CVSROOT/#cvs.history.lock): Permission denied
cvs commit: failed to obtain history lock in repository `/module_repo'
Reason:
Means, lock files used by CVS for synchronization of commits, could not be created due to lack of permissions in repository
Analysis:
file name : CVSROOT\config
"LockDir" is not set in this file
In fact it is commented as "/var/lock/cvs". We need to uncomment it by removing "#".
Solution:
[Pre-requisite:: You should be root/administrative user. This should be done on (linux/unix) system where CVS is set up.]
1. Go to "/CVSROOT
2. Un-comment this line in CVSROOT/config
>> Line with "LockDir"
This enables "lock file" to be created in /var/lock/cvs instead of "repository", which is what should be the result.
3. Now create a new directory "/var/lock/cvs" as root.
4. Change the group ownership using "chgrp"
Example : chgrp "mygroup" cvs
5. Also change the ownership of the group to "mygroup"
chown :mygroup cvs
6. Now give "write" permissions to all users in "mygroup"
chmod g+w cvs
This will avoid the error we got earlier which code commit..
